“A Legacy of Kindness. A Women’s Challenge: Be Strong or Be Kind?”
Coming up in March, is Women's History Month. A time to celebrate the contributions and achievements of women throughout history. It's also a time to acknowledge the ongoing struggle for gender equality and the need to continue fighting for women's rights.
I, Gerald E. Jackson, happen to believe that women can effectively advocate for care and unity, while being decisive on challenges like equal pay, women’s rights, and gender inequality.
I am strongly considering bringing together a group of current leaders, athletes, business professionals, activists, and community advocates, both men and women, to conduct a panel discussion on these and other vital issues. Would you be interested in joining us on this panel? Message me here below today!
A women’s empathy and intellect often demonstrate that there is more than one way to lead. While attributes in men commonly associated with leadership include confidence and strength, as a man, a global leader, and an executive producer, and in speaking with many other men, I can tell you that those attributes should also include compassion and self-doubt at times, as well.
Much in the vein of celebrated athletes Simon Biles and Naomi Osaka’s withdrawals from key competitions to prioritize their safety and well-being, one’s decision to take a break from stress and strain continues to break the mold of expectations thrust upon women. What these actions offer (in men and women) is an accessible model of inclusive leadership in which leaders recognize and communicate their limits, and respectfully set and honor boundaries.
Throughout history, women have made significant contributions to society, often in the face of tremendous obstacles. Here are a few of the most notable women:
Harriet Tubman; Rosa Parks; Gloria Steinem; Shirley Chisholm; Ruth Bader Ginsburg; and Malala Yousafzia.
Yes, while the many women who have come before us have made great strides toward women's equality, more work still needs to be done. It's essential to address these ongoing issues and work towards greater gender equality. This includes efforts to close the gender pay gap and ensure women have access to affordable healthcare and reproductive rights. It also means promoting women's leadership and representation in politics and other fields and working on challenging gender stereotypes and biases in society.
Ultimately, the fight for women's rights requires ongoing effort and dedication. Women's History Month provides a significant opportunity to recognize and celebrate women's achievements throughout history and reflect on the ongoing work still needed to achieve greater gender equality. We can progress toward a more equitable and just society for all by working together.
I am strongly considering bringing together a group of current leaders, athletes, business professionals, activists, and community advocates, both men and women, to conduct a panel discussion on these and other vital issues. Why are we called to encourage when blogging? We should strive to “encourage each other daily.” Then, I say, “encourage one another and build each other up.” We generally learn that, “Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.”
So, with this in mind, we have to wonder why - why is it so important for you and I to encourage one another? Are we doing all we can to share our wisdom with one another? And, not to mention, who does Source Energy want us to encourage?
Let’s explore:
Why is it so important to encourage one another when blogging?
We all know this world can be tough. It’s easy to lose sight of what’s truly important in a world where we are dealing with daily strife, uphill battles and the looming pressure to make everything okay. Many experience discouragement and this leads to giving in - throwing in the towel and saying “nevermind, I give up.” This is where encouraging others is essential. This is where we utilize our blog to speak truth to the heart to remind each other that we can overcome this world’s pain and prosper daily! We must encourage one another so that we can bring brightness not just into our lives, but into the lives of those around us as well.
Are we doing all we can to share our warmth with our brothers and sisters?
Just think about it for a second - we’re good people, right? We open doors for strangers, smile at soiled, oil-changing men at the service station and we even cleaned up a little after the potluck last Sunday. But, what we must ask ourselves is are we giving it all we’ve got, or are we just doing the bare minimum by being polite and personable while keeping our hands clean at the same time. Spend some quiet time with your own heart and your faithful blog readers. Ask them to shine their light in new ways. Ask yourself to display the strength to pursue the doors and opportunities that are opening in your life and to give your blog readers the tools and passion needed to reach out and truly make an impact for the community at large around them! Why am I calling you to encourage?
While many of us feel a strong need to encourage the people we love, it’s somewhat a little harder to reach out to those whom we don’t really care for. Let’s be honest - how many times have you encouraged someone who has been downright rude to you, or someone that you believe is on the wrong path in life? I mean, really, how easy is it to overlook the elderly person who is taking too long at the supermarket or the hateful neighbor who just loves to complain about your dogs or the homeless man who you pass every day on your way to work?
Let’s make the effort to blog with courage, brightness, laughter, fun, and helpful insight, okay? Do it for you, do it for your readers, and do it to make a positive difference in the world around you! Grace and Peace. Blessings. One love.
Let me know what you think of my post today. Share your comments in the comment box provided below. I thank you, and your new potential “loyal” blog readers will thank you too! Go for it! Share your feedback with me today!

“What Actually Makes a Good Blog Post a Good Blog Post?”
I've been blogging for a little while now. You would think I would be good at it, but in fact I am actually only slightly better than I used to be. However, based on my experience, I came up with the following elements that contribute to the creation of a “good” blog post.
Purpose
Ask yourself: what’s the reason for posting? Once you have a purpose, you have grounds for a post. Sometimes a blog posts' purpose is simply to share a thought. Sometimes you want to help someone do something. Whatever your purpose is, it is something that needs to be clear.
Picture(s)
At least one good picture is required. Sometimes I leave the picture out of the beginning because I want the words to stand out. Pictures are distracting, but that can benefit you because they are good attention grabbers. If you leave a picture out of the start of your blog post, be sure to put one at the end. All blog posts need a picture in my opinion; because something visual showing up when shared on social networks will help its shareability.
Coherency
There must be some central message in a good blog post. Once you have your message, write about how you can talk about it specifically in as little words as possible.
To make your core message is effective, repeat it several times in different ways. This strategy of repeating your message is seen in popular types of content; like, songs (a chorus), plays (the structure of the lines), and speeches (MLK repeats "I Have A Dream" dozens of times). If you are interested in persuasive language, check out this book: Language Intelligence: Lessons on persuasion from Jesus, Shakespeare, Lincoln, and Lady Gaga.
Readability
I suppose this one is subjective on your audience. But usually, you can get away with writing with a simple style and still attract all types of people. People will not read your post because it is too simple; however, they will not read your post if it is too complicated. Writing simple is the best way to reach the largest audience possible.
Shakespeare wrote in simple speak; he never used long words. He used simple words strung together in ways that make you think. Another piece of rhetorical text that is quite popular is the bible. People like to read things that are easy to follow and make you think.
Easy to read also includes making your site simple to navigate. The days of complex sites are long gone (thank goodness). Also, more and more people are using mobile, so think about how you can make your site as minimal as possible while only keeping the features on it that are important to you and your readers.
EXTRA BONUS STEP: Longevity
Is your blog post bookmarkable? Does it contain elements that people are likely to want to come back to? If you answered yes, then your blog post has longevity. Making sure your post has longevity means that it will not only be seen more over time, but it will be an anchor point for what your website is about. For example, if you have a popular blog post, you can link to it in other blog posts to help build upon its reach.
SUPER EXTRA BONUS STEP: Media
Do you have any videos, charts, sounds, or anything else that will give more oomph to your post? If you implement other forms of content in a blog post it shows that you are taking the extra step in displaying your content. For an example of how certain websites are taking the power of the web to the next level, take a look at these 10 story driven websites that will blow your mind.
That's it! Those are the handful of elements that make up for a good blog post. Have a purpose, be coherent about it, make it easy to read, then slap on a picture or two. If you are feeling adventurous, then add other media to it. Cheers! Be sure to leave a comment about what you like most about this blog. Your feedback is important! And, you are both valued and appreciated all the more when you take a moment to leave a commit in the “purple” message box! I may even send you a free gift just for doing so! Grace and Peace. See you next week! Expect the Best! Expect Success!

The Impact of Reader Feedback on Your Blog:
As a blogger, have you ever wondered about the impact your readers have on your content? Blogging is a dynamic activity that requires constant learning, adjustment, and growth. And what better way to measure that growth than by the feedback of your readers? It's a well-known fact that engaging with your audience can help you build a loyal following, but did you know that it can also have a significant impact on the success of your blog? In this article, we'll dive into the fascinating world of reader feedback and explore how it can influence your blog's growth, brand, and content. We'll also share some tips on how to use feedback to your advantage, turning criticism into opportunities and creating a more engaging and successful blog in the process. So, let's dive in and discover the power of reader feedback!
Understanding the value of reader feedback
As a blogger, it's easy to get lost in the creative process of crafting posts and forget that the real purpose of a blog is to connect with an audience. Understanding the value of reader feedback is crucial to developing a successful blog that engages and satisfies your readers. Feedback allows you to learn more about your readers, including their likes and dislikes, what resonates with them, and what could be improved. This knowledge can then be used to create content that not only meets but exceeds their expectations.
Reader feedback can also provide valuable insights into the success of your blog. Positive feedback lets you know what's working, while constructive criticism points out areas for improvement. By taking both types of feedback into account, you can adjust your content and overall strategy to better align with your readers' needs and preferences.
Furthermore, by regularly engaging with your readers, you can build a sense of community and connection around your blog. This connection can lead to greater loyalty and engagement, which can be a powerful driver of growth and success.
In summary, understanding the value of reader feedback is essential to building a successful blog. By paying attention to your readers' thoughts and opinions, you can create content that meets their needs, build a loyal following, and grow your blog in ways that you never thought possible.
The role of reader feedback in blog growth and success
When it comes to growing a successful blog, reader feedback plays a critical role. The opinions, insights, and suggestions from your readers can help guide the growth of your blog in a way that resonates with your audience and keeps them engaged. Here are a few ways that reader feedback can impact the growth and success of your blog:
First and foremost, reader feedback can help you create content that is relevant and interesting to your audience. By understanding what topics and formats your readers prefer, you can adjust your content strategy to better serve their needs. This, in turn, can lead to increased traffic, engagement, and social sharing, all of which can contribute to the growth of your blog.
Reader feedback can also help you build a loyal following. When readers feel that their feedback is valued and that you are listening to their opinions, they are more likely to become invested in your blog and keep coming back for more. This loyalty can translate into higher engagement, a larger social media following, and even revenue opportunities.
Moreover, reader feedback can help you identify areas for improvement and growth. Criticism, when taken constructively, can be a powerful tool for identifying blind spots in your content or overall strategy. By addressing these areas, you can improve the quality of your blog and create a better experience for your readers.
In conclusion, the role of reader feedback in blog growth and success cannot be overstated. By paying attention to your readers' opinions, you can create content that resonates with them, build a loyal following, and identify areas for improvement. All of these factors can contribute to the growth and long-term success of your blog.
Types of reader feedback: constructive criticism, positive feedback, and more
Reader feedback can come in many different forms, and it's important to understand the different types of feedback you might receive as a blogger. Here are a few common types of reader feedback you may encounter:
Constructive criticism: This type of feedback is intended to help you improve your content or strategy. It often comes in the form of suggestions or advice and can be a valuable tool for identifying areas where you could be doing better.
Positive feedback: This type of feedback is intended to let you know what you're doing well. Positive feedback can be a great confidence booster and can help you understand what aspects of your blog are resonating with your readers.
Questions: When readers ask questions in the comments section or via email, it's a sign that they are engaged with your content and interested in learning more. Responding to these questions can help build a sense of community around your blog.
Social sharing: When readers share your content on social media, it's a sign that they find your content interesting or valuable. This type of feedback can help you understand what topics or formats are resonating with your audience.
Engagement metrics: Metrics like pageviews, time on page, and bounce rate can all provide insights into how engaged your readers are with your content. By tracking these metrics, you can get a sense of what content is working and what isn't.
It's important to remember that all types of feedback can be valuable, even if they aren't all positive. Constructive criticism can help you improve, while positive feedback can help you build confidence and momentum. By paying attention to the different types of feedback you receive, you can create a more engaging and successful blog.
Using reader feedback to improve your content and engagement
Using reader feedback is an excellent way to improve your blog's content and increase engagement with your audience. When you take the time to listen to your readers, you'll gain insights into their preferences, interests, and needs, which can help you create content that resonates with them. Here are a few ways to use reader feedback to improve your content and engagement:
Analyze the comments: Comments can be a goldmine of information about what your readers think about your content. Analyze them regularly to see what questions they have, what points they disagree with, and what they would like to see more of.
Conduct surveys: Surveys can be a great way to get more in-depth feedback from your readers. Ask them about their preferences and interests and use the results to adjust your content strategy.
Pay attention to metrics: Analyzing metrics like page views, bounce rates, and time on page can provide insights into what content is resonating with your audience. Use this data to create more of what's working and adjust or eliminate content that isn't performing well.
Use feedback to improve existing content: When you receive feedback on a particular blog post, take it as an opportunity to improve the content. Update the post with new information, address questions or criticisms, and promote the updated post to your readers.
Create new content based on feedback: If readers consistently request content on a particular topic, consider creating new content that addresses their needs. You can also use feedback to experiment with new content formats, such as videos or infographics.
In conclusion, using reader feedback is an excellent way to improve your content and engagement. By analyzing comments, conducting surveys, paying attention to metrics, and using feedback to improve existing content or create new content, you can create a more engaging and valuable experience for your readers.
How reader feedback can help you build a loyal following
Building a loyal following for your blog is essential to its success. One way to build a loyal following is to use reader feedback to create a sense of community and foster engagement with your audience. Here's how reader feedback can help you build a loyal following:
Creates a sense of community: When readers feel that their feedback is valued and appreciated, it creates a sense of community around your blog. This can lead to increased engagement and loyalty from your audience.
Builds trust: By responding to feedback in a timely and respectful manner, you demonstrate to your readers that you value their opinions and are willing to listen to them. This can help build trust and credibility with your audience, which is essential for building a loyal following.
Improves the quality of your content: By using feedback to improve your content, you can create a better experience for your readers. This can lead to increased engagement and loyalty, as readers are more likely to return to your blog if they find value in your content.
Encourages word-of-mouth marketing: When readers feel that their feedback is valued and appreciated, they are more likely to recommend your blog to others. This can lead to increased traffic and a larger, more engaged following.
Creates a feedback loop: When you use reader feedback to improve your content, you create a feedback loop that can help you create more engaging and valuable content over time. As you continue to receive feedback, you can use it to refine your content strategy and create an even better experience for your readers.
In conclusion, using reader feedback to build a loyal following is a powerful strategy for growing your blog. By creating a sense of community, building trust, improving the quality of your content, encouraging word-of-mouth marketing, and creating a feedback loop, you can build a loyal following that will support your blog for years to come.
The impact of responding to reader feedback on brand reputation

By taking the time to listen to your readers and respond to their feedback, you demonstrate that you value their opinions and are committed to providing a positive experience for your audience. Here are a few ways that responding to reader feedback can impact your brand reputation:
Builds trust and credibility: When you respond to reader feedback in a respectful and timely manner, it can help build trust and credibility with your audience. Readers are more likely to trust and respect a brand that is willing to listen to their feedback and make changes based on their suggestions.
Demonstrates a customer-centric approach: By responding to reader feedback, you demonstrate that you are customer-centric and committed to providing a positive experience for your audience. This can help differentiate your brand from competitors and position you as a leader in your industry.
Helps mitigate negative feedback: Responding to negative feedback in a respectful and timely manner can help mitigate its impact on your brand reputation. By addressing the issue and taking steps to resolve it, you demonstrate your commitment to providing a positive experience for your readers.
Generates positive word-of-mouth: When readers see that you are responsive to feedback, it can generate positive word-of-mouth and increase the likelihood of readers recommending your blog to others.
Improves brand perception: By responding to reader feedback, you can improve the overall perception of your brand. When readers see that you are committed to providing a positive experience for your audience, it can improve their perception of your brand and increase their loyalty over time.
In conclusion, responding to reader feedback can have a significant impact on your brand reputation. By building trust and credibility, demonstrating a customer-centric approach, mitigating negative feedback, generating positive word-of-mouth, and improving brand perception, you can create a positive experience for your readers and position your brand for long-term success.
Best practices for soliciting and collecting reader feedback
Soliciting and collecting reader feedback is an important part of building a successful blog. By gathering feedback from your readers, you can better understand their needs and preferences, and use that information to create more engaging and valuable content. Here are some best practices for soliciting and collecting reader feedback:
Make it easy to provide feedback: To encourage readers to provide feedback, it's important to make the process as easy as possible. Include a prominent feedback form or link on your blog and make it clear how readers can provide feedback.
Ask specific questions: To gather useful feedback, it's important to ask specific questions that are relevant to your blog and its content. Ask questions that will help you understand what your readers like, what they don't like, and what they would like to see more of.
Be open-minded: When collecting feedback, it's important to be open-minded and willing to consider all perspectives. Avoid becoming defensive or dismissive of feedback, even if it's critical. Instead, take the time to listen to feedback and consider how you can use it to improve your blog.
Respond to feedback: Responding to feedback is an important part of the feedback process. Even if you can't implement every suggestion, taking the time to acknowledge and respond to feedback shows your readers that you value their input and are committed to providing a positive experience.
Use feedback to inform your content strategy: Once you've collected feedback, use it to inform your content strategy. Identify areas where you can make improvements or changes based on feedback and use that information to create more engaging and valuable content.
Continuously solicit feedback: Finally, it's important to continuously solicit feedback from your readers. Set up regular feedback opportunities, such as a monthly survey, and be open to feedback at all times. By continuously soliciting and collecting feedback, you can ensure that you are meeting your readers' needs and creating a blog that they will want to return to.
In conclusion, soliciting and collecting reader feedback is an important part of building a successful blog. By making it easy to provide feedback, asking specific questions, being open-minded, responding to feedback, using feedback to inform your content strategy, and continuously soliciting feedback, you can create a blog that meets the needs of your audience and grows over time.
Overcoming the fear of negative feedback and turning it into a positive experience
Receiving negative feedback can be a daunting experience for any blogger. It's natural to fear negative feedback and the impact it may have on your blog's reputation. However, it's important to remember that negative feedback can also be an opportunity to learn and grow. Here are some tips for overcoming the fear of negative feedback and turning it into a positive experience:
Change your perspective: Instead of viewing negative feedback as a personal attack, try to view it as an opportunity to learn and improve. Negative feedback can provide valuable insights into what your readers like and don't like about your content and can help you identify areas where you can make improvements.
Be grateful for the feedback: When someone takes the time to provide feedback, even if it's negative, it shows that they care about your blog and want to see it improve. Be grateful for the feedback and thank the reader for taking the time to provide it.
Respond to the feedback: Responding to negative feedback shows your readers that you take their opinions seriously and are committed to providing a positive experience. Take the time to respond to the feedback in a respectful and professional manner and consider how you can use it to make improvements.
Use the feedback to improve your content: Negative feedback can provide valuable insights into what your readers want to see more of or less of on your blog. Use this feedback to inform your content strategy and make improvements that will better meet the needs of your audience.
Don't let negative feedback discourage you: It's important to remember that negative feedback is a normal part of the feedback process. Don't let it discourage you or cause you to doubt your abilities as a blogger. Instead, use it as an opportunity to grow and improve.
In conclusion, receiving negative feedback can be challenging, but it's important to remember that it can also be an opportunity to learn and grow. By changing your perspective, being grateful for the feedback, responding to it, using it to improve your content, and not letting it discourage you, you can turn negative feedback into a positive experience that helps you create a better blog for your readers.
Balancing reader feedback with your own creative vision for your blog
While it's important to consider and incorporate reader feedback into your blog, it's equally important to maintain your own creative vision and style. Here are some tips for balancing reader feedback with your own creative vision for your blog:
Stay true to your voice: Your blog should reflect your unique voice and perspective. While it's important to consider feedback from your readers, it's also important to maintain your own creative vision and style. Don't compromise your voice in an effort to please your readers.
Evaluate feedback in the context of your goals: Consider how the feedback aligns with your goals for your blog. If the feedback supports your goals, then it may be worth considering. If not, it may be best to disregard it.
Identify patterns in feedback: Look for patterns in the feedback you receive. If multiple readers are providing similar feedback, it may be worth considering. However, if the feedback is inconsistent or contradictory, it may be best to take it with a grain of salt.
Be open to change: While it's important to maintain your own creative vision, it's also important to be open to change. Consider how the feedback can help you improve your blog and be willing to make changes that align with your goals and creative vision.
Communicate with your readers: If you decide not to incorporate certain feedback into your blog, communicate your reasoning to your readers. Let them know that you value their feedback, but ultimately, you have to make decisions that align with your goals and creative vision.
In conclusion, balancing reader feedback with your own creative vision for your blog can be challenging, but it's important to stay true to your voice, evaluate feedback in the context of your goals, identify patterns in feedback, be open to change, and communicate with your readers. By striking a balance between reader feedback and your own creative vision, you can create a blog that resonates with your readers and reflects your unique perspective and style.
Final thoughts
The impact of reader feedback on a blog cannot be overstated. By soliciting and incorporating feedback from their readers, bloggers can improve their content, engagement, and brand reputation. Constructive criticism and positive feedback from readers can help bloggers identify areas for improvement, generate new ideas, and build a loyal following. Responding to reader feedback can also help bloggers build trust with their readers and enhance their brand reputation. However, it's important to balance reader feedback with your own creative vision for your blog, and to use feedback in the context of your goals.
Real-world examples demonstrate that blogs can successfully use reader feedback to improve and grow, ultimately resulting in a stronger, more engaged readership. Best practices for soliciting and collecting feedback include using a variety of methods, analyzing patterns in feedback, and being open to change. By understanding the value of reader feedback and incorporating it into their content strategy, bloggers can create a blog that resonates with their audience and reflects their unique voice and perspective.

What Should You Talk About Within Your Blog Post?
7 Popular Blog Topic Ideas to Inspire New Bloggers
There are lots of great blog topics you can write about if you want to make money. Some perennially popular niches are:
1. Personal Finance Blogging
Interested in money? Personal finance blogs are a great way to share your ideas and tips—and they can also prove lucrative. Lots of people are searching for help with common personal finance issues, like getting out of debt, saving for a house, and sticking to a budget—all fantastic blog post ideas, by the way.
You could monetize this type of blog by offering spreadsheets or templates for download, through affiliate marketing, advertising, online courses and more.
Examples of Successful Personal Finance Blogs
· Mr. Money Mustache: This popular blog is distinctive both for the no-nonsense tone and for its focus on making enough money (and reducing expenses sufficiently) to no longer need a day job.
· Money Under 30: This blog targets an audience of under-30s, providing beginner-friendly articles on a wide range of personal finance topics (including debt, budgeting, credit, and more).
2. Travel Blogging
While you might think the market is saturated for travel blogs, there’s always room for a fresh perspective or a different angle on your travel experiences. You might write about solo travel, travel adventures with young kids, or budget-friendly travel. Travel bloggers can score free trips and gear depending upon the type of blog posts they craft, too.
You could easily turn your travel blog traffic into money through affiliate marketing posts where you share top travel gear, roundups of your favorite hotels (or airlines), gifts for hikers (one of the best blog posts out there) and much more.
Examples of Successful Travel Blogs
· Notes from the Road: Focusing on first-hand experiences, and sharing sketches and photos, this blog aims to “be written merely for the joy of curious explorers and travelers.”
· Hike With Ryan: My own travel blog! Rather than covering a huge range of types of travel on this blog, I stay focused on one of my favorite activities—hiking.
3. Food Blogging
Whether it’s a blog where you share your Grandma’s recipes, a collection of posts for people who want to eat great food while losing weight, or a blog celebrating different foods from around the world, you can find your own approach and voice on a food-related blog. For more on getting off the ground in this niche, check out this guide to starting a food blog.
Many food bloggers sell collections of their recipes, share behind the scenes video content, answer common questions readers have—and you could also host blog advertisements using Google AdSense as a monetization starting point. Just be sure your blog content strategy takes this all into account.
Examples of Successful Food Blogs
· Wandercooks: This great blog shares cuisines, cultures, and recipes from around the world. It’s packed with recipes – which include variations and substitutions too.
· Minimalist Baker: As you might expect from its name, this blog shares straightforward recipes, with plenty of those being vegan and gluten-free recipes.
4. Self-Improvement Blogging
The self-improvement niche is a huge one, covering all sorts of topics like time management, personal growth, strengthening relationships, and much more. While there’s already plenty of tried-and-true advice out there, you might be able to bring a fresh approach.
There are lots of ways to monetize a self-improvement blog. Online courses are particularly popular in this niche, as well as subscription newsletters that can share in-depth takeaways from recent experiments in your life, open letters to your readers, roundups of the most popular blog content in your niche and more.
Examples of Successful Self-Improvement Blogs
· Marie Forleo: Hugely popular and famous for B-School in particular, Marie Forleo’s blog deals with topics like sleeping better, overcoming fear, believing in yourself, and much more.
· Zen Habits: This long-running blog has a deliberately minimalist and calming website, along with thoughtful and in-depth articles covering a wide range of self-improvement topics.
5. Health and Fitness Blogging
Most of us have some level of interest in health and fitness. Whether you’re blogging about becoming a super-fit bodybuilder or about simply losing weight and enjoying running around with the kids, a health and fitness blog could reach a huge audience.
Use Google Analytics to pinpoint the most popular posts on your health and fitness blog, then consider these as an opportunity to promote your ebook, online course, or affiliate partners. You can also monetize a fitness blog by doing things like selling cheat sheets for maximizing your time at the gym (which will also give you great content ideas by seeing which topics are most popular), cooking hacks for fast, high-protein meals at home and more.
Examples of Successful Health and Fitness Blogs
· Nerd Fitness: This clever fitness blog focuses on making fitness fun, and throws in plenty of geeky references along the way.
· No Meat Athlete: Another fitness blog focusing squarely on a specific audience, No Meat Athlete is about fitness for vegans.
6. Small Business Blogging
Each year, the number of small businesses in the USA grows. And in the wake of the “great resignation”, more and more people are turning to blogs that help with things like business ideas, setup, growth, marketing, and logistics.
Small business blogs often sell their own products/services for business owners—but they can also make great money as affiliates for web hosting providers, WordPress plugins, business apps and other useful tools for supporting small business ideas. Check out this ultimate guide to starting a business on the side of your day job for an example to inspire you—it’s a great blog post that features an infographic, compiles real-world advice, uses myself as a case study, offers step-by-step guidance and more.
Examples of Successful Small Business Blogs
· Side Hustle Nation: One of my favorite side hustle blogs, Side Hustle Nation covers a range of topics related to running a side business, investing, and more.
· Shopify: The Shopify blog is packed with useful advice on running an eCommerce business, along with lots of inspiring and helpful personal stories from Shopify users who’ve used digital marketing to grow their businesses.
7. Parenting Blogging
New parents might be up at all hours searching for advice—and parents facing a new stage, like elementary school, the teen years, or an empty nest, will also turn to the internet for advice. Whatever stage of parenting your blog deals with, you’re likely to find a readership.
This type of blog can be a little harder to monetize, but affiliate marketing is likely to do well here: parents always need more gear, DIY tutorials and toys to entertain their children! New content like frequently asked questions (FAQ) segments and listicles do really well with this audience of time-strapped readers.

How Often Should You Post New Blog Information?
Fresh content on your blog is an important part of making sure people stay interested. Who needs old and repeating content? People easily lose interest or even stop subscribing to your blog if you haven’t posted anything for awhile. On the other hand, posting too often can also pose a problem, that’s why it is important to get the right balance for your blog. Below we’ll help you equate how frequent you should post on your blog.
Not posting too much
Not posting too much also poses a threat on your blog. If they have already read everything they’re interested in and you don’t have new content for them to read then there’s a tendency that they will unfollow your blog. They don’t know whether you’re taking a break, on vacation or you’ve given up the blog altogether. They may even forget who you are by the time you start posting again and that’s pretty scary.
Another problem with not posing enough new content on your blog is that it’s difficult to rank higher in the search engines. This means that if you’re trying to make money from your blog, you will find it very difficult to do so. This is more of a problem for newer bloggers trying to establish themselves. Still not knowing a lot how ranking on search engines work.
Posting too much
Posting too frequently also poses a threat on your blog. One point is that your followers will not find any value in subscribing to your blog since there’s too much for your followers to read, they will tend to not follow anything at all. That is why it’s much better to post in moderation but you need to make sure that your posts have strong and engaging content that will satisfy your followers.
You might think it’s great to keep posting lots of content to your blog, but people may find it overwhelming if you post too much. This is particularly true if there is the option to subscribe to email alerts, which means they will get an email every time you post something new. Posting too much is also tiring for you, and you may find that quality suffers as a result.
So how much should you post?
The frequency at which you post does depend on your niche, to a large degree. For example, if it’s news-based then it makes sense to publish several times a day. However, for most, around 1-2 times per week is usually a sweet spot. The posts shouldn’t be short and insignificant and should contain information that provides some form of value for your readers. And remember, this doesn’t always mean text. It could also mean video, or predominantly image-based posts if that works best for your niche.

Why Is It Important For You To Have A Blog? - (posted on 8/30/23)
Business blogging is a marketing tactic that uses blogging to get your business more online visibility. A business blog is a marketing channel (just like social media, direct mail, email marketing, etc.) that helps support business growth.
The Benefits of Blogging for Business
One question many people ask after starting a business is whether blogging is worth it in 2023.
Short answer: Yes! And here the reasons why we say so.
1. It helps drive traffic to your website. Raise your hand if you want more website visitors. Yeah, me too. Now think about the ways people find your website:
They could type your name right into their browser, but that's for an audience you already have. They know who you are, you're on their radar, and that doesn't help you get more traffic on top of what you're already getting.
You could pay for traffic by buying an email list (don't you dare!) blasting them, and hoping some people open and click through on the emails. But that's expensive and, you know, illegal.
You could pay for traffic by placing tons of paid ads, which isn't illegal but still quite expensive. And the second you run out of money, your traffic stops coming, too.
So, how can you attract new traffic or readers to your site? You can through blogging and optimizing your site for search engines.
Here's how it works.
Think about how many pages there are on your website. Probably not a ton, right? And think about how often you update those pages. Probably not that often, right?
Well, blogging is a great way to solve both of those problems.
Every time you create and publish a blog post, it's one more indexed page on your website, which means one more opportunity for you to show up on the search engine results page (SERP) and drive traffic to your website in organic search.
We'll get into more of the benefits of blogging on your SEO a bit later, but it's also one more cue to Google and other search engines that your website is active, and they should be checking in frequently to see what new content to surface.
2. You can repurpose blog content for social media.
Blogging for your business also helps you get discovered via social media. Every time you create a new article, you're creating content that people can share on social networks — Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest — which helps expose your business to a new audience that may not know you yet.
Blog content also helps keep your social media presence going. Instead of asking your social media manager always to create brand new content for social media (or creating that content yourself), your blog can serve as that repository of content.
You're strengthening your social reach with blog content and driving new website visitors to your blog via your social channels. Quite a symbiotic relationship, I must say.
3. It helps convert traffic into leads.
Now that you have some traffic coming to your site through your blog, you have an opportunity to convert that website traffic into leads.
Like every blog post you write is another indexed page, each post is a new opportunity to generate new leads.
The way this works is straightforward: Just add a lead-generating call-to-action to every blog post.
Often, these calls-to-action lead to things like free ebooks, whitepapers, fact sheets, webinars, trials, or basically, any content asset for which someone would be willing to exchange their information.
To be super clear for anyone unfamiliar with how traffic-to-lead conversions work, it's as simple as this:
Visitor comes to website
Visitor sees call-to-action for a free offer
Visitor clicks call-to-action and gets to a landing page, which contains a form for them to fill in with their information
Visitor fills out the form, submits information, and receives the free offer
If you scroll down in this blog post, you'll see a call-to-action button. In fact, 99.9% of the blog posts we publish have call-to-action buttons, and yours should, too. That is how you turn your website traffic into leads for your sales team.
Note: Not all blog readers will become leads, and that's okay. No one converts 100% of the people who read their blog into leads. Just get blogging, put calls-to-action on every blog post, set a visitor-to-lead conversion rate benchmark for yourself, and strive to improve the benchmark each month.
4. It drives long-term results.
The best business blogs answer common questions their readers and customers have. If you consistently create valuable content or articles for your target audience, it'll establish you as an industry leader or authority in their eyes.
Can you imagine the impact of sending an educational blog post you wrote to clear things up for a confused customer? Or how many more deals a salesperson could close if their leads discovered blog content written by their salesperson?
"Establishing authority" is not a vanity metric as concrete as traffic and leads, but it's pretty powerful stuff. You can use it to measure sales enablement. Because at the end of the day, that's why many choose to start a blog.
Think about it:
Suppose prospects find answers to their everyday questions via blog posts written by people at your company. In that case, they're much more likely to come into the sales funnel trusting what you have to say because you've helped them in the past — even before they were interested in purchasing anything from you.
Prospects that have been reading your blog posts will typically enter the sales funnel with more knowledge of your products and services, your place in the market, and your industry.
That makes for a far more productive sales conversation than one held between two relative strangers. Salespeople who encounter specific questions that require in-depth explanation or a documented answer can pull from an archive of blog posts. Not only do these articles help move the sales process along faster than if a sales rep had to create the assets from scratch, but they position the salesperson as a helpful resource to their prospect — thus helping to build trust.
5. Blogging helps with link building.
Inbound links or backlinks are among the 200 factors the Google algorithm considers when ranking a site on its search engine result page. Many experts and small business owners also believe backlinks to be the 3rd most crucial factor in search engine optimization.
Although generating inbound links is essential, 41% of SEO experts say link building is the most challenging part of search optimization.
When you create articles that are not only valuable to your potential customers but also to other companies that your audience sees as industry leaders, it’d be easier to gain relevant links.
Links for authoritative websites serve as a vote of confidence or recommendation from other websites. And it signals to Google that you’re trustworthy and an expert in your industry.
Another benefit of backlinks is that they help you build your domain authority, which helps improve your overall discoverability in search engines.
6. It drives long-term results.
It would be fantastic if you could take a trip to Hawaii, go to the gym, and sleep for as many hours as you want, and still be able to drive traffic to your site.
Good news, though! That's what blogging does — primarily through search engines.
Here's what I mean:
Imagine you sit down for an hour on Sunday to write and publish a blog post. Let’s say that blog post gets you 100 views and ten leads on Monday. You get another 50 views and five leads on Tuesday as a few more people find it on social media, and some of your subscribers get caught up on their email and RSS. But after a couple of days, most of the fanfare from that post dies down, and you've netted 150 views and 15 leads.
It's not over.
Since that post is now ranking, it means that for days, weeks, months, and years to come, you can continue to get traffic from that blog post. So while it may feel like day one or bust, in reality, blogging acts more like this:
So while you're hitting your snooze alarm, surfing in Hawaii, and pumping iron, you're also driving traffic and leads. The effort you put in yesterday can turn into hundreds of thousands of views and leads in the future.
What’s more, you can monetize your blog content in many creative ways. Business models such as affiliate marketing mean you can generate an income from blogging on just about any topic — from makeup and beauty to camping and motorcycles.
There’s a wide variety of affiliate programs out there where you can generate an income from referring people to relevant products and services.
When it comes to blogging, most of your sales will likely come from your older articles.
More than half of the traffic generated each month on the Hubspot blog comes from posts published in previous months. They come from old posts.
The same goes for the leads generated in a current month — about 90% of the leads we generate every month come from blog posts published in previous months. Sometimes years ago.
We call these types of blog posts "compounding" posts. Not every blog post will fit into this category, but the more evergreen blog posts you write, the more likely it is that you'll land on one of those compounding blog posts.
In our research, we've found that about 1 in every ten blog posts end up being compounding blog posts.
To me (and hopefully to you), this demonstrates the scalability of business blogging. While you might not see immediate results, over time, you'll be able to count on a predictable amount of traffic and leads for your business without any additional resource investment — the work to generate that traffic and those leads are already done.

7. It helps you share company news.
Another benefit blogging affords every big, and small business is a medium to share their company news and stories.
Blogs can contain not only articles but also news that highlight what a company is up to.
Have you hired a new content marketing manager? Share it on your blog. Interviewed online marketing and industry experts? Post it on your blog.
Have a brilliant case study that showcases how your products and services help customers? Tell your audience about it on your blog.
Are you hosting a local fair or trade show? Drum up attention for the event through your blog.
Not only does sharing company news on your blog humanize your brand, but it also helps your audience see that you’re not always about selling.
Secondary Benefits of Business Blogging
There are other reasons businesses might want to start a blog, but I think they're smaller and stray from the core benefits of blogging.
For example, I love to use our blog to test out extensive campaigns on the cheap before investing a lot of money and time into their creation. I also love to use our blog to help understand our persona better.
And while this shouldn't be their primary use, these are all significant usefulness of a business blog, but they're secondary benefits to me.
